For those not familiar with the history of the PFBC ( Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission ), check out their timeline here.
So...way back in 1866, folks were meeting to discuss pollution and the impact of dams on PA's waterways. Fast forward 146 years; they're still discussing pollution, and the spring shad runs have pretty much disappeared on most of the Susquehanna.
Some progress, eh?
The great debate over the future of the Susquehanna is heating up. If anyone really believes our current Governot and DEP Secretary give a rat's rectum about the Susquehanna, keep an eye on H-burg for the next few months.
