Susquehanna River: A Dying Fishery (?)

Once again, the Susquehanna is in the news in a less than favorable light.

Check out the latest editorial here.

I have addressed this issue several times in the past.

Of course, our former DEP Secretary Michael Krancer did not believe the Susquehanna was deserving of an "impaired" designation. Our current Acting DEP Secretary, E. Christopher Abruzzo, is an attorney and one-time District Attorney that specialized in drug prosecution.

Sounds more than qualified to take over Krancer's role...

Folks, the Susquehanna that once was no longer exists. Where we go from here is up to us.

Stay tuned.

P.S.:  Quite honestly, the one pic in the online article/editorial linked above looks like a lamphrey bite/wound to me, which has little/nothing to do with the Susquehanna being impaired. I have contacted several folks and asked for their opinion.
