As I recently called it in a prior post, the natural gas industry will pull out all $top$ to ensure they get "their guy/gal" appointed to the soon-to-be-vacant leadership roles of the Susquehanna River Basin Commission and the PA Department of Environmental Protection.
No doubt in my mind whatsoever.
What is even more disturbing to me are the two segments of red/underlined text (my annotations) in the email's second paragraph. Read them again, then consider this:
This is the perception of an elected official working in Harrisburg.
So...many environmental groups have been "bought off" or are in retreat, and the DEP is "completely" in the hands of the natural gas industry.
This is happening on our watch, folks.
Time for a change in tactics and direction.
