If it isn't obvious, I am really into family history...and my family knows it.
Suffice it to say this gem is one of the oldest pieces of written documentation we've received/found to date. It was tucked in a birthday card from my sister I received a few days ago. She found it, possibly being used as a bookmark, in our Aunt Sandy's ( E.C.W.'s grandaughter ) diary.
It appears to be the cover of a prayer book given to our great-grandfather, Edward Charles Williams (1880-1961), by his teacher when he was eight years old. On December 23rd, 1888.
Pretty darn cool...
