Seems that a few boaters who were out before dawn on the Susquehanna River recently near Wysox, PA got stranded on a gravel bar. I've paddled through that spot may times, and it can be tricky to navigate depending on the water level...even in a kayak. As you can see from the pictures, it's barely ankle-deep.
Anyway, after multiple attempts, it took 14 people to dislodge the boat.
I hope the rest of their day was less eventful.
