B&PF: That's bought and paid for.
For those that have never attended a SRBC "Public Hearing", I've been to many of them over the years, from Wilkes-Barre to Harrisburg and many other points within the watershed. And time and time and time again, they've always taken this position when pressed about some specific language in the SRBC Compact:
"We're only focused on water quantity, the DEP is responsible for water quality."
I have dozens of similar quotes I've accumulated over the years, and I'm not going to waste my time looking for them in boxes or folders this morning. Instead, it took me about 15 seconds to find this gem, which is taken directly from their website:
In the event it gets pulled, I printed a copy this morning.
In less than fine print from the above:

Question #2: What is
SRBC's role in regulating water quality?
Answer: While our
regulations are intended to be protective of aquatic resources, SRBC does not regulate
and has never regulated water quality for any projects, whether for natural gas
development or other purposes.

If you've read all of the above, you will understand my surprise/disgust when I caught this headline in one of my news alerts yesterday:
Water quality not impacted by drilling, according to new report
You can read the rest here.
So, the SRBC - an agency that has taken a position in the media and on their website - that they do not and are not responsible for regulating water quality has issued a report dealing with...water quality.
Go figure.
Reminder: The SRBC has made and will continue to make MILLION$ from water being withdrawn from within the Susquehanna watershed, including that used for fracking by the natural gas industry. Believe it or not, there are "expert" fracktivists out there that do not know this.
The SRBC doesn't give a damn about the Susquehanna's water quality, and their report isn't worth the paper it's printed on or the space it's taking on my hard drive. More on this topic in future posts.
Enjoy your holiday weekend...and fly the flag!
It's time we come to their doorstep.
