Boom Towns and Bedbugs
WVIA's State of Pennsylvania visited Towanda last evening, and all the details can be found here.
Surprise, surprise...only a "relatively small" number of the 200+ folks in attendance supported drilling. According to WVIA's website, the video of last night's show will become available after 11 a.m. today. Check it out.
Back on the bedbug front, all I can say at this point is I am deeply disturbed by the way the management and owners of Daniel J. Flood Tower are handling this matter. I have worked for some of the largest corporations in the country over the past 30 years in middle and senior management positions; the last 10 being with regional and international law firms. I know just a smidgen about how companies think and work, how they immediately huddle into CYA mode when bad news hits, and how they will twist the truth beyond all recognition. And that is what's happening here. Considering what she's been forced to endure...my mother deserves better.
I'm sure the folks in Pennrose's corporate towers think they're dealing with some local-yokels who have neither the wherewithal or resolve to stay the course.
Stay tuned.
P.S.: A sincere "Thank you" to Sue Henry @ WILK, Andrew Seder @ The Times Leader and Bob Kalinowski @ The Citizens Voice for how they handled this matter. I'll circle back with everyone once this is behind us.
