Susquehanna Bubbling: Two Years and Counting....

I bought my first kayak in 1997. It wasn't long after that when I started blogging. I'm positive of the timing. Unfortunately, the ISP's that hosted my first efforts have long since vanished, so there are no archived posts to visit. The earliest "Susquehanna River Navigations" pages I decided to print & retain were from October 1999

So...as I approach the "official" 13th (+) anniversary of my entry into Bloggerdom, I will offer that the last ~10 days  have been the most frustrating of my entire run. Hands down.

At this time, I am choosing not to vent and rehash events of this past week or air anyone's dirty laundry here. That is my choice and mine alone. I have no Board of Directors. I have no partners, CEO, CFO, or Chairman that must approve what I write here.

It's just me and the man in the mirror.

For now, I will let events take the course set by others, even though I disagree with the decisions made...and everyone directly involved is fully aware of my level of dissatisfaction. However, to be treated as if I "just fell off the turnip truck" when it comes to environmental activism - especially in the Susquehanna River watershed - is an egregious insult that will fester for a long time. A very long time. Hey...I'm only human.

Anyway...today marks the two year anniversary of when the Susquehanna River started bubbling methane near Sugar Run in Bradford County today. Circumstances will not allow me to be on the river today, but I will be back there soon. Here's my September 2010 post from my visit a few days after the bubbling was discovered.

Finally...I would simply ask that everyone remain patient regarding some anticipated reports that will come out soon. I have partnered with some folks that I will never deal with again, but based upon future plans, I need to remain professional and patient for as long as I can.

Perhaps I'll learn something new about myself along the way...
