Bubbling away for 300 days....

The Susquehanna River continues to bubble a mixture of methane and other "stuff" in Bradford County...and nothing is being done about it. No media coverage, no continued pressure from all but a few folks like me. The DEP has done a great job keeping a lid on its findings, and the natural gas folks continue to deny they had anything to do with it.

Well, that's about to change. Stay tuned.

BTW, if you need a break from all this serious stuff, check out this website of some mostly northeastern PA folks which is fully-supported by and supportive of the natural gas industry. At minimum, it's....., ummm, enlightening. WE don't get it? Marcellus Myopia at its best!

Welcome to the fray.

  1. Hey Don,
Keep up the great work and don't get discouraged. I've been educating and fighting for nearly 2 1/2 years. And as you know, the EPA, DEP, DEC, DEQ are all pawns to the gas industry. Here we are almost a year later, nearly 100 wells in Bradford County contaminated, and yet there has never been one documented case of water contamination stemming from the hydraulic fracturing. Just a game of semantics. The airline industry has never ever had a documented case of killing one human being as a result of an airline crash either - it was the high speed of impact that resulted in the loss of human life. Keep up the fight. We are out here and support OUR cause. The right to clean air, clean water, and preservation of natural resources not only for our own generation but for those to come. I'm thrilled you continue to do what you do and haven't been beaten into submission. For all those in the gas industry, the EPA, and the DEP that visit this Blog and will read this comment - OUR NUMBERS ARE GROWING AND THE PEASANTS HAVE LOST OUR PATIENCE!
