Marcellus Homeowner's Insurance Meltdown?

  

           

Folks, I'm hearing from several upstream sources that insurance companies are starting to amend their homeowners insurance policies in areas currently subject to or anticipating natural gas drilling with a new "Pollutants Exclusion" clause.

In other words, the insurance industry is circling the wagons to ensure they are protected against claims due to pollution to the air, water and land from "migrating" pollutants.  I wonder what pollutants they are concerned about? Hmmmm...let me ponder this a little.

So much for the Marcellus Multiplier.

Having spent 20+ years in the banking and mortgage industries, I recognize this for what it is and the ripple effect it will have if it is true: FRACKING HUGE.
 
If you live in the MSZ and receive anything from your homeowners insurance company...read it thoroughly!
