Susquehanna: A River on the Precipice
One the same day Ed Rendell was claiming that the Susquehanna is cleaner than it was 8 years ago, there was another article online painting a much different picture.
Read what the PFBC has to say here, and don't miss the excellent comment at the bottom of the article by a former PA DEP engineer.
Thank you, Steven.
The "unimpaired" Susquehanna River is dying a slow death for all to witness while our Governor and his "Acting" (how true) DEP Secretary are supporting their buddies in the natural gas industry with $500K+ grants to help sell their product. And you gotta love the part about Toxic Tommy's gift to the natural gas industry (otherwise known as Act 13) setting aside $20 million for more CNG fueling stations in the years to come. I wonder what their piece of the action is?
Center city Philly? Hope they install plenty of security cameras...
Wouldn't it be nice if our government threw a little money in the direction of protecting one of PA's greatest natural resources, or is that too much to ask?
