For those that have visited this website over the last decade+, you know that I always pay homage to the Susquehannock in December.
With the Susquehanna bubbling methane in the very same stretch of river that the Susquehannock called home over four centuries ago, it seems that history is repeating itself. The modern day travesty on the Susquehanna caused by the natural gas industry is merely a transcendant continuum of the events of December 1763. The butchery of its people has been replaced with the wanton exploitation and decimation of its lands and waters.
We who remember the past cannot and will not go quietly into the night.
